Sing, Birdy...SING!!....Announce to us the day!
So I woke up early, and decided that having fed my various furkids, rather than go back to bed for another couple of hours (the usual practice on a Sunday) I would just keep on going in the cool but bright morning of a Melbournian autumn, and so I went for my regular stroll and indulged my obsession with bark....that's treebark......I find it infinitely fascinating, with endless variety of texture and colour...like skin on humans.....you just have to feel it....
See....I had missed most of the mist ...but the swans were just waking up..morning, guys!
Six months from now - I want this to be me - come Summer...I'm going to learn to ROW....just sculling along the river with the dew fresh on the banks in the early morning sun...sounds like heaven....but first I have to run 7.5 kms in Amsterdam in October - thanks to my family ganging up on me.....darnit - I'm a sucker for reverse psychology....fall for it every time.....!

Ahhhh......the last beads of dew begin to evaporate even in the cool morning sun.......and what's that saying...."Memories are like leaves of gold..never tarnish, or grow old..." and my favorite sportsmen have given me some smiles and happy memories in the last couple of weeks...and because everything is relative , Marat getting his memory back for almost a whole WEEK is reason to be cheerful - at least for me....(well done, bigbirdbananagoldfishbrain...told you you would!) and if nothing else he is more beautiful with every passing year - oh yes, like a perfect sculpture burnished with time....oh okay - can't help it......heheeh- he's hot even when he's doing his "doddery old man" impression...'this isn't beer, is it..?' "no, granddad - its RED BULL"
and just BECAUSE...he looks so happy and carefree...can i come to your BBQ..Pleeeeeze??
Now, I am not usually one to gloat, BUT........

(Oh! LOVING my boys draped in gold tinsel in the Moscow rain..at 2AM in the morning!!! yes indeedy!!!!- thank god nobody tripped and injured themselves!!)

Awww..my boys! okay - gloating over...but we hurt too much from losing penalty shootouts for me to feel too sorry for Chelsea..them's the breaks......
